Introduction to CAP

CAP provides independent advice and representation for people making asylum applications to UNHCR Thailand. Our services are free of charge and open to asylum seekers and refugees in Thailand of all nationalities. Our work focuses on providing advice and representation, as well as protection services.

Understanding Our Services

CAP can provide the following services:

  • Advice and representation for asylum seekers at appeal and re-opening stages, dependent on capacity and individual circumstances
  • Protection support to asylum seekers and refugees, including support for those experiencing arrest, domestic violence, sexual and gender-based violence, and other protection concerns
  • Information for newly arrived asylum seekers in Bangkok, including advice on living in Thailand and the refugee status determination process
  • Empowering and supporting asylum seekers and refugees through workshops and group advice sessions

CAP has a small team, and makes a determination for each case on whether assistance can be provided. All advice and services are confidential.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide advice on matters other than asylum applications to UNHCR Thailand and refugee protection. We are not able to provide funding or medical assistance.

Requesting Advice
